Checks / Titles, headings and schema
The page says a machine wrote it or no person has read it
The page tells its readers, in its own words, that the text was written or translated by a machine or that no person has read it. Assistants and search engines weigh who stands behind a page, most of all on health, money, legal and exam advice, and here the page itself says nobody does.
text_unreviewed · Titles, headings and schema · Warning
What triggers it
The first or last 4,000 characters of a page's text contain a sentence of 40 words or fewer that says about the page itself that a machine wrote or translated it, or that no person has read it.
What to change
Have a named person read and correct the text, then remove the line and name the reviewer and their role on the page and in the Article markup (an author or reviewedBy of type Person).
How to confirm the fix
- Read the top and the bottom of the page: no line says the text was written or translated by a machine, or that no person has read it
- Press 'Re-check 1 page'
How common it is
We have not measured how common this is on a sample of sites. Counts appear here when a study covers it.
